Angel B. defines what a female MC should consist of; so toss out all of your preconceived notions about what a female rapper is, because her style is unlike any female rapper in the game. One of the most indisputably profound female lyricists in hip-hop, Angel B. raises the standards of which all other emcees (both male/female) have to at least match with. Displaying lyrical diversity with the capability to talk about any issue in an educated manner, tell a story with clarity, all without neglecting her primary urban fan base. Often compared to as the female Jay-Z for her apparent word play and lyrical swagger, with this comparison and her resume there is no doubt that Angel B. is authentic and simply like no other. Writing poetry became her first love at the age of 13. She began to write and enter contests which created a passion that helped her deal with the ways of the world and struggles as a youth. She now seems to understand the system and finds the balance between being artistically free and commercially appealing; which places Angel B. where she needs to be.
