JOYFUL Gospel's headquarters are located in the 'now famous' 9th ward neighborhood of New Orleans. As everyone gathered together to clean up the flooded recording studio and to prepare for their winter tour, it was decided they should record an album of traditional gospel songs in the hopes of making it feel like everything was going to be okay and that New Orleans will one day return to normal. Setting up the studio and getting back to work with their music was a healing process for everyone. This collection of traditional gospel songs is their prayer to all the citizens of New Orleans and the entire gulf coast.
