简介
Jesse Dixon was raised on a small farm with his four sisters in Western Pennsylvania where he hunted and raised pigs, sheep, turkeys, beef steers and dairy goats. He also invested in the training of a horse and a donkey. Jesse began taking guitar lessons at the age of nine and wrote the first of many songs at the age of sixteen which he performed at his older sister's wedding. Throughout high school, Jesse participated in National Christian Forensics and Communications Association speech and debate club where he won first place at the District level and advanced to the Nationals competition in the persuasive speech category. He was very active in community outreaches through his church and served as a leader in his youth group. Jesse also worked for his grandfather's family business, a construction materials company, where he made deliveries and assisted in warehouse operations. While living near Pittsburgh, he took advantage of opportunities to showcase his original songs at the Hard Rock Cafe and sent rough demos to music industry professionals. Jesse was advised to move to Nashville TN in order to promote himself as a singer/songwriter, which he did at age twenty. Upon moving to Nashville, he consistently played at writers rounds and open mic nights, including Douglas Corner Cafe, The Commodore and Wannabees. While living in Nashville, he entered a competition at 360° Burger titled Nashville Rising Star. He finished third in the competition and was offered an opportunity to record his original music at the studio of one of the judges, Gary 'Brotherman' Branchaud. Throughout the weeks that followed, Jesse and Brotherman developed a great working relationship. What started as a three to five song EP grew into a full length album due to the abundant material Jesse already had and a growing friendship between himself and Brotherman. This collection of songs provides insight into Jesse's faith and upbringing. Upbeat songs such as 'Backa My Truck' and 'Stuck' celebrate country lifestyle in a fun and down-to-earth manner, whereas others convey deep emotional feelings, including traditional country themes of heartbreak and hard living. With his debut album 'Rebel Bred' now complete, Jesse Dixon is seeking publishing and record label interest as a singer/ songwriter and entertainer.
