Ready Mix Records proudly presents Russian phoneme Maxim Romashov's debut release entitled Soli. Maxim Romashov possesses an ear that's far beyond his years; his passion for music was quite evident since his early teens; quickly shifting gears from the guitar to the decks. Today he prefers sounds that are deep, techy, and anything related to the house sound. In 2009 he initiated an internet based radio project called Flat Radio, and hasn't looked back. Gaining support for his productions from all the local DJs, he sets his sights to the rest of the world and we're happy to welcome him to the Ready Mix family! 'Soli' is a haunting piece of modern deep house; with just the right blend of vocal treatments, expertly crafted drum arrangements and a moody bassline. Less is definitely more when it comes to this gem of a tune! First up on the remixing duties comes label boss BiG AL who takes his talents to the next level. BiG AL or 'Biggy' as his friends like to call him, outdoes himself here as he lights his remix ablaze with mutha-funkin' chords, hands-in-the-air hi hats and soaring flutes, anchored by soul shaking latino influenced low-end bass groove to keep you guessing all the way through - making his remix of 'Soli' an instant classic! The second remix comes courtesy of Ready Mix alums: The Moti Brothers (aka Norbert & Daniel Motolai). Fresh off the heels of their 'Made In Hungary' album and their recent appearance on Philthy Phonics 'The Return EP', The Brothers are back to add a left of center, quirky, and at times, humorous take to their rendition of 'Soli'. Rounding off this stellar release is newcomer to the label B.Craack who complements the dreamy perspective of the original nicely. Serving up a slightly Techier/Prog tension filled interpretation that contains whispers of dark italo-disco; with a chord progression that resonates to the core.
