When Kate was four years old, she knew she wanted to sing. It was just always there. By the time she was in her early teens, she was performing on TV and in local theater productions. Through the years she has sung all genres of music and that lead to her interest in being a songwriter. She has also written two musicals and still keeps her hand involved in drama, which is also a form of the arts that she loves. She has adopted eight children to go along with her four, now-grown biological children, and in her spare time, runs the Atlanta branch of the Christian Nashville Song Writer's Association.
