简介
“It all happens behind closed doors, but there’s cracks in my windows living on the ground floor” K-cromozone has been a staple to the DC hip-hop scene since approximately 1999. His resume is littered with the names ResiNation, Educated Consumers, Old School Vendetta and many others. On this venture he teams up with resident DC producer Nick the Onedah; who is fresh off multiple Beat-Grinder Championships (a WASH DC staple event) as well as a recent article in Elemental Magazine. Nick is making noise through both his production AND his radio show: “Loop Diggin: 101” which was a WMUC tradition for many years. The Lay Down- Digital 12” is 4 songs and 2 instrumentals that attempts to fill all of ones musical desires. Seez Mics and K-Hill appear on the 4th cut “Stress” which completes the single soooooooo well… it almost becomes an EP. “What Would You Do?” is one of the best songs I’ve heard in a minute, and Lay Down is a mixtape-bound-banger-with-bounce. “Underground/overlooked” is a 3 minute underground anthem that reminds this reviewer of a DJ premier remix of the Black Starr classic: “Hater Playerz”.
