Three very different wind concertos from the 21st century. Ticheli’s Clarinet Concerto pays homage to Gershwin, Bernstein and Copland, Warnaar’s Horn Concerto is based entirely around the diatonic or ‘white’ scale, and Ranjbaran’s Flute Concerto is packed with exotic colour.
