With a strong sense of folk music and a love of clean acoustic guitar, Wine By The Fire demonstrates a unique flexibility on the part of singer-songwriter Vincent Mark to create songs which border on Rock to Modern Folk. Adding strings to "Our Song" and "Twisted Oak" serves to pull the listener deeper into the acoustic world and shows an appreciation of classical instruments in modern music. This CD is both romantic and pragmatic with the opening song "It's True" reminding us all that life and its demands can get away from us at times. A special thanks from Vincent to Catherine Telles for her wonderful viola part and Katie Boyd for her brilliant lead Cello on "Our Song". Katie also lent her Cello to "Twisted Oak" and her talented sister Amy Boyd, created and recorded a beautiful violin piece to complete this song.
