The Balancing Act tells the story of Cool Hand Luke from the bands earliest days until 2007 when it was released. It includes songs from the "So Far..." EP, "I Fought Against Myself," their self-titled 7", "Wake Up, O Sleeper," and "The Fires of Life,". It also includes the songs "The Balancing Act," "Wonder Tour," and "A Floating Smile," which were previously unreleased. The CD includes liner notes from producer Steve Hindalong and original guitarist Jason Hammil, as well as a brief history of Cool Hand Luke from the perspective of singer Mark Nicks.
