Fool's Errand is a Folk band that blends elements of Gypsy/Americana/Rock/Jazz and world music. Cartographic is a driven, high-energy fusion of these genres. Consisting of: Guitar, Violin, Saxophone, Bass and Percussion, the band has a very eclectic and memorable sound. Additionally there are a good bit of 4 part harmonized vocals within the album. All of these element thrown together make "Cartographic" a very involved and intriguing album. Andrew Necci of RvaMag has described Fool's Errand as "a powerful blend of Middle Eastern folk music, old-time country & Western, rock n' roll, and a touch of the modern Americana revival sound." And Chris Bopst of Style Weekly has referred to Fool's Errand as "Meditative, moody and expansive, the band creates soundtracks to movies that haven't been made yet."
