简介

The latest work by KENJI IKEGAMI, a shakuhachi player who fuses traditional Japanese ethnic music and ambient/experimental music with his unique worldview, has been released as an analog LP. Contains two long songs performed in collaboration with Yasushi Seto, a cellist who inherits the spirit of Terry Riley, and UtaE, a player of the traditional Ainu instrument Mukkuri. Produced by Chee Shimizu. KENJI IKEGAMI goes into the mountains to dig up Madake and plays the ``Jinashi Shakuhachi'' that he made himself. A futuristic, futuristic piece with the layered long tones of the shakuhachi like Brian Eno's "Music For Airport" and the ever-changing improvisations of Yasushi Seto, a cellist who inherits the spirit of Terry Riley. Drone ambient "Kannon". ``Raven'' is an ethnic ambient piece in which UtaE's mukkuri vibrato falls like a ray of sunlight on the perspective sound image created by the shakuhachi. KENJI IKEGAMI's music, which breathes new life into the music while paying homage to the historical tradition of Jianashi Shakuhachi, which began with Komuso, connects the time and space of the ancient and future to the present.
