Biography The Noel Prior Band formed at the start of 2006 following the completion of Noel’s second solo record, Outside In. Joined by Rob Carter on bass and Liam Jolly on drums, the band quickly became an established live act, scoring a much lauded support slot with Alex Parks after having only been together three weeks. Propelled by excited and positive reactions from both the local media and new fans, the band went on to showcase their set in Solo Music, where one innocent punter stuck his head round the door to exclaim, “is that Jack Johnson?” However, the Noel Prior Band offer something more than dreamy “surf-rock”, as they proved at their album launch party and subsequent live performances. Despite only having been together two months, the band has a dynamic that belies chronology.
