简介
Most everyone can relate to 'Thank Heaven For Email". We love to send and receive email (not junk ones, of course) from those we love and care for. When our friends and family are miles away we can keep close to them with email. Judy's cousin, Vesta Weber, lives on the west coast (Washington State) and Judy Welden lives in GA. They haven't seen each other since childhood.. but are now keeping close by email. Vesta, who'd never written song lyrics wrote to Judy about writing a song about keeping in touch by email. That night Judy awoke with ideas in her head about it. She wrote the first Verse and Chorus in her head, then sent an email to Vesta to see what she thought and if she'd like to write another verse or two. Vesta then wrote back with two verses added. Judy, who had worked with songwriters for years started the TCSA (Treasure Coast Songwriters Assn. ) when she lived in FL) says she has never known of anyone who could write that well for their first lyric! She sent the lyrics to Ray Lani (with whom she'd recorded two other duets) to add the music, knowing it would be a cool duet. He did a fabulous job adding the tune, playing guitars (son Ray Jr. played drums), producing his vocal, with the tracks. Gary Farmer added keyboards and Judy and Vesta were very pleased with all the musician's work.. as well as with Judy's vocal producer, Chris Truelove, who also mastered the song. Enjoy "Thank Heaven For Email" and share the link with all your email buddies. ******************************************************************************************************************* Notes about artists & songwriters of "Thank Heaven For Email" You can read about Judy Welden's long and varied musical career on the pages of any of her other 6 albums and many single releases on the CDBABY website, but here are just a few highlights: An artist/songwriter and music publisher, Judy Welden has been writing and releasing songs worldwide since 1992. Very versatile, writing in many styles, he has the added talent of being able to play quite a few instruments and is able to produce his own tracks. Ray puts his heart and soul into all his songs, and though many of his songs are sung by other artists, it is when he is singing them himself, that they really come to life! He brings something extra into each song. They are so special they will stay in your head long after you've heard them. Many folks would agree that Ray has always been a songwriter's songwriter, meaning that he has many songwriters as fans, since he writes both lyrics and melodies equally well! Ray has 14 CDs at CD Baby and many of his songs on each of these CDs have been released as singles that get worldwide airplay. Check them out and you'll see why he has been so successful. He writes and sings in many styles: country, pop, adult contemporary and blues. Ray does it all: writes, sings, plays many instruments & produces; he'll be releasing songs for many years to come. Check out his many CD here. ******************************************************************************************************************** As concerns her music career, Vesta Weber writes: As a child mother had me sing at family gatherings. She taught me to read music when I was about 7 years old. This came about because in church she would point to the words in hymnals as we sang. I would watch the notes go up and down with the wordsand asked what the lines were. I sang for weddings, church, clubs, school etc. I took piano lessons for several years, was in choir in High School where I became good at “sight reading”. Later I was chosen for the soprano in part of a small group; we traveled to other school districts to perform. Singing in our church choir, I was thrilled to be part of an all churches choir to do the Handle’s Messiah with an opera singer from Seattle doing solos. My husband Bud liked organ music, bought an organ, and encouraged me to take lessons on the organ, which I did. I played organ for our church twice a month for a couple of years. Sunday’s after church at home I would play the organ; Bud on the guitar or banjo, our daughter Jill would play guitar or banjo. We began playing for church functions. Known as "Memory Tones", we included Jill's husband Ted on bass guitar. I would sing lead or harmony and played the tambourine. We continue to play at campground lodges, community festivals, churches, other events & functions and always at family gatherings. I emailed my cousin, Judy, with a song idea for her to write. She said she was really busy right then. The next day she emailed me that she hadn’t slept that night and the Lord had put my idea in her mind, she wrote a verse and chorus and asked me to come up with some ideas and finish the song. I did and it came so easy, it has to be a “God thing”!
