M.K.O's first string piece, "The Spirit of Oriental Journey" is a "natural" piece composed mainly of acoustic instruments unlike the previous album's "urban" song "metro". The simple melody of piano, strings, and flute expresses the journey from Japan to the nature-rich countries of the Orient, and the song is full of emotion with a nostalgic atmosphere.
