An intentional stylistic amalgam of their first 2 records, on their 3rd album Telemachus have created something of a balanced fusion, alternating between fuzzy guitar numbers and more experimental, leisurely tracks. With a distinct Oasis and B.R.M.C. feel to their rockier efforts, the bass intentionally taking the lead to the distorted rhythm guitars, there's something of the Beta Band's sparse oddness to be found in their more restrained moments. The record's centrepiece is arguably 'Hillspotter', one of the band's oldest songs, here elevated to something special thanks to it being entirely programmed, making use of a wider sonic palette (something which would inform their later records).
