"Be Water, My Friend!" is a single word in a message that Chinese martial artist and great artist Bruce Lee said in a movie. The message is, "Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend." In response to this message, Monk Beat has realized that from the end of 2022 to the spring of 2023, people's consciousness toward their own light (heart and soul) will shift to a higher frequency, which we have expressed as sound and music. About the sound The sound was created using bass, guitar, and vibraphone to create a loop of chords that flashed in my mind during meditation at Higashi Honganji Temple in Kyoto, followed by a four-strike beat that evokes the image of gushing water, synth bass that evokes the reflection of light on the surface of water, and field recordings of the Ryu water source at the foot of Tamaki Shrine (Kumano). Finally, we added a female vocalist and Bruce Lee's message in our own words in an improvisation session.
