简介
Featuring "Hit Me Up" as heard on MTV's 'The Hills'. "Five Alarm Fuego's mix of Pop, Dance & Latin offers something for everyone. I like every track and the vocals are divine." - Randy Schlager, Billboard "Anita has a beautiful voice. I love that she sings in three languages. She could really give Brazilian Girls a run for their money." -Three-time Grammy Award-winner, Asdru Sierra (Ozomatli) A multi-cultural mix of Electro-Pop/Dance with rock and Latin influences, Five Alarm Fuego lights a match under the dance floor. Five Alarm Fuego (FAF) is the musical love child of singer/songwriter Anita Benner (Los Bad Apples) and bassist/producer Gil Gonzalez (Genitallica). Their combined experience includes global tours, stadium shows for up to 70,000 fans and opening for legenday artists including Kiss, Ludacris, Duffy, Bush, Aterciopelados, The Crystal Method, Julieta Venegas, Quiet Riot, Molotov, Wisin & Yandel, Cafe Tacuba, Ozomatli, Oscar D’Leon, Meshell Ndegeocello and more. Individually they’ve had original works featured on various MTV programs and movie soundtracks and even earned a Best Video nomination by MTV Latino. Known for his success as a rock musician/producer, Gonzalez proves equally comfortable producing the infectiously danceable FAF. Gonzalez refined his technique by co-producing albums with legendary producers Barrett Jones (Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Bush), Scotch Ralston (311, No Doubt, Kiss) and Mauricio Garza (Zoe, Julieta Venegas, Timbiriche, Moderato, Jesse y Joy). His rocker side cuts through on songs like “Lover” and “Monster” with an aggressive, gritty edge reminiscent of Nine Inch Nails’ Pretty Hate Machine era. As with previous endeavors, Benner’s mission remains to promote diversity by creating it through unique blends of musical genres and languages. With FAF Benner hits mainstream audiences head-on while remaining true to her spicy Latin roots as on the Reggaeton dance number, “Get Down” and on the album’s two covers which include a club-worthy remake of the timeless classic, “Gracias A La Vida”, and an innovative interpretation of “Si Nos Dejan” which features electronic dance pioneer, Camilo Lara of Mexican Institute of Sound (M.I.S.). While her songs range in topic from battling addiction to playfully navigating the age of social networking, Benner ensures her listeners never stop dancing. True to their name, this dynamic duo is scorching hot!
