Florida is literally at the bottom of the map so it is only right that we be considered the dirtiest of the dirty south. Yet and still, FLA has never really been recognized as a Hip-Hop state outside of Miami. As the first member of the click, BC (Brevard County) N***az to drop an official full length LP, Jerm is basically a one man gang putting Central Florida on da map. As an emcee and a producer, Jerm is the total package. The best way to describe this album is raw and uncut. From beginning to end, Chapter One is Hip-Hop in its purest form; bangin tracks laced with rugged, versatile flows. I think Killer Mike said it best, "This ain't yo mama's music" and this ain't music for people who believe that the majority of what they hear and see on radio and television all day everyday constitutes what real rap music is. No disrespect to mainstream rappers because I understand why those types of songs are more or less necessary, but any person who has a "Konexion" with Hip-Hop knows the difference between rap music and a money making single. Getting back to the topic, Chapter One is not a gangsta rap album and it is far from conscience rap. I don't sound like the rest of em so it is hard to classify me as having one particular style. I spit it how I feel with total disregard for the next man's success or failure. No flashy rhymes about money and material things and no rhymes about sellin d**e other than the fact that people need to find a better way to maintain. I feel that is album is a problem for rappers and producers for that matter. Cop it and judge for yourself. I appreciate positive and negative feedback as long as it is your honest opinion.
