简介
Judy Insley spent her early childhood on 77 acres of rolling Michigan fields surrounded by horses…and music, which became her passion in life. After years of performing “cover” tunes and occasional originals in various folk/rock bands, duos and trios, a health crisis, surgery and lengthy recovery in late 1998 through 1999 forced her to sit back and re-evaluate her musical goals and direction. Inspired by Dr. Wayne Dyer during a lecture in which he admonished “Don’t die with your music still in you,” Judy decided to concentrate on her songwriting and step out as a solo artist. Today, she is a writer and performer of songs about personal growth, social justice, environmentalism, and our universal connection to everything around us. “Leaving Home” is a cycle of songs compiled along her journey. From the bittersweet instrumental strains of “The Beginning” to the simple request to “Try The Beginning Again,” Judy draws on her own experiences to gently remind us of the intertwining cycles of life…and the accompanying changes they inspire. “A fantastic songwriter and guitarist, Judy Insley writes songs which paint wonderful imagery while portraying her unique view of the world. It's a world you'll want to share by picking up her new CD 'Leaving Home' or catching a show featuring this Michigan Artist. Her song 'Mother Earth' could be the anthem for a generation as we try to repair the damage we've done to our world.
