简介
Lisa Nicole might look like your perfect country sweetheart, with strawberry blonde curls and emerald green eyes, but this rising star has a feistiness flowing through her veins that simply cannot be denied! A small-town gal in the big city, she has followed her heart wherever it takes her in order to follow her dream and spread her country-rock sound to the ends of the earth. At the tender age of nine, Lisa made her musical debut at a neighbourhood pub for her friends and family, who were left speechless by her vocal promise. She became as heavily dedicated to her craft as any adult before she was even close to graduating high school. At just fifteen years old, she was hitting up three or four jams a week at bars in the Kootenays, even though she had to wait outside due to her age, shivering and stomping her feet to stay warm during the winter, for her turn to sing. Between the ages of seventeen and nineteen, Lisa lived in orphanages in Bolivia and Honduras; there she painted murals, sang with the children, planted herb gardens, and helped them build playgrounds and security walls, determined to touch the lives of others first-hand with not only music but kindness as well. Now, this young rising star has graduated from Selkirk College of Contemporary Music and Technology with majors in Songwriting and Performance. In 2012, eager fans caught Lisa performing at the at Sunfest, playing shows around British Columbia, or rocking out with her acoustic guitar on YouTube for her fans. She has toured all over her home province of British Columbia. She also released her first single “Not Over You” to iTunes and debuted the music video online with over 10,900 hits. In December, 2012 she released a music video for O Holy Night. For accolades and awards, she was the the S.A.C songpitch winner for Bluebird North, and was nominated for the Ray McAuley Horizon award for the 2012 BCCMA awards. Winner of CKXS-Wallaceburg, ON Emerging Artist of the Month and Kamloops Country 103 Emerging Artist Showdown. Lisa grew up addicted to the twang of good ol’ country music from a very young age. Now, her influences range from country greats like Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift to more pop and rock driven acts like Christina Aguilera and Guns ‘N’ Roses. Recently, Lisa Nicole has been pouring her heart and soul into her new EP It Got Ugly, writing and recording in Nashville, TN, and working with award-winning producer Bill Buckingham of Vancouver, BC. Her first single “If You Say You Do” is currently being pushed to country radio, with over 30 adds in Canada. You can now find this fiery yet heartfelt collection of new songs on iTunes or get a copy from Lisa herself.
