简介
In the early years following the new millennium, a teenage Michael Medall was cultivating his love for hip-hop culture and making the transition from fan to artist. With his experience growing up in a highly musical and artistic family, and having played multiple instruments himself, the path of an artist was more destiny than choice. Now a 21-year-old with years of experience, national recognition, a tour and several recorded works under his belt, this Midwestern MC plans on taking no breaks. His high-energy shows continue to engage fans across the world, while his sincere lyrics that seem to epitomize the very human essence continue to attract new ears. Several years ago in 2011, Medall made the journey from Madison, Wisconsin to Helsingborg, Sweden to pursue two passions skateboarding and music. During his stay, he released his debut project, "Second Decade," through the Swedish independent label MF Studios. The project featured production from him and multiple other talented producers including platinum beat crafter DJ Pain 1 (Young Jeezy, Public Enemy, 2 Chainz). He also performed while in Europe. Upon his return to the states, he forged on, both recording a catalog of solid hip-hop material and sharing the stage with artists Chris Webby, Huey Mack, Sammy Adams, and Mac Lethal. He literally battled his way onto some stages, playing Summer Set Music Fest (along with Nas and Talib Kweli) after winning an Emcee battle in neighboring state Minnesota. He toured a year later, covering ground and rocking stages from Milwaukee to Boston. Now that 2013 is over, Medalls passions have only begun to burn brighter, his aspirations only growing stronger. Currently, Michael Medall is gearing up for his second tour, tentatively scheduled for Spring 2014, alongside DJ Pain 1 and Rhymesayers Entertainment first lady Psalm One. He plans on releasing his debut album for the spring season as well, which will feature production by Pain 1, Decap, Jimi Kendrix and more. With his unrelenting work ethic, his uncompromising approach to music and his intense recording and touring schedule, Michael Medall is staking his claim as one of 2014s most promising hip-hop artists.
