The Leigh Folk Festival has become probably the largest free celebration of traditional arts in the land, a feast of music, dance and folk ritual. The event has won a reputation for brave programming, and this latest compilation samples some of the years' highlights and twines together some seemingly disparate musical strands , seasoned with a salty tang.The Thames Delta can sometimes 'shine like a national guitar'....and the Leigh Folk Festival is perhaps one of its most sparkling seasonal landmarks.
