A veritable "who's who" of Leningrad-based violinists of the late Soviet and post-Warsaw-Pact eras — Marina Yashvili, Sergei Stadler, Maxim Vengerov, and Arkady Gutnikov - perform violin concertos by Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn, Sergey Slonimsky, and Vladislav Uspensky.
