As a composer Oliver has written music for Bfi funded films, the WWF and several Documentaries for the BBC and Channel 4, including the BBC's Natural World series. Oliver is currently writing music for UNICEF, canadian film director Mike Hawley, and the BBC1 series, 'Whistleblowers' As a performer Oliver has toured extensively playing cello for Beth Orton, Tom McRae and Sia. Oliver has also performed live and recorded with many artists including David Gray, Paul Weller, Mike Scott, Alexi Murdoch, Beverly Knight, Bellx1, The Tindersticks and Howard Jones. As an arranger Oliver has written and arranged strings for Ash, Beth Orton, Lifehouse, Liz Phair, Tom McRae, Joshua Radin, Thea Gilmore, Marc Almond, My Life Story and Rachael Yamagata.
