These short piano pieces were written by me over a twenty-five year period. Some have the feel of jazz ballads while others are more like classical pieces with popular influences. They are lyrical, rhythmically fluid and harmonically unpredictable. I am a classical pianist: founder, artistic director and pianist of The Chicago Ensemble, a professional chamber group appearing in different combinations of piano, strings, woodwinds and voice, well- known for imaginative programs. I also have written many songs for music theater productions, and I teach piano, theory, ensemble and music appreciation classes.
