Eugene Ruffolo has an amazing voice and is a gifted songwriter. He is right up there in the pantheon of great singer-songwriters with James Taylor, David Wilcox, Dar Williams, Paul Simon, Pierce Pettis, Livingston Taylor, Jimmy Webb, Carole King and John Mayer. He is also a guitar virtuoso. Doc Schneider is a lawyer by day and night, and a songwriter in between. Eugene and Doc started off on separate journeys, one from Long Island, the other from the city that never sleeps, twin sons of separate soldiers, unknown to each other, until they met over a song in 2005. What followed was the neatest part. Having collaborated on Second Chances (2007), a collection of Doc's songs, that saw surprisingly strong distribution -- usually by overnight delivery -- across the United States and in Europe -- especially Belgium and Holland, Eugene and Doc launched off on a series of projects together. One sunny Saturday in April 2009, Eugene and Doc decided to bring it to the people in a live concert at one of the countries most famous singer-songwriter venues -- Atlanta's Eddie's Attic. They might have called it a rose for Lia. Their afternoon concert was a little afternoon delight, captured on shiny CD's by the most peaceful sound guy in the business. Their homemade songs sounded so good that afternoon, they decided to bottle it, with the stories included -- and this LIVE CONCERT -- an intimate afternoon with these friends is the result. After hearing the live recording with 15 Degrees of EQ, Eugene and Doc spent time in the Screaming Tranny studio in New York, trimming and tweaking. They then turned to award-winning producer, Ben Wisch, to master the 2-CD set that captures the best moments of one memorable and spontaneous concert.
