简介
Lowhitey is a self-ironic name for a one-person project of a twenty-year-old who lives in a small village Pruszcz in Bory Tucholskie. Wojciech with his characteristic surname Misiak (Teddy) from his earliest years was feeding his hungry ears with the sounds from different music shelves. He liked best his father's records of musicians such as: Enya, Vangelis, or Jean Michel Jarre. Together with his little keyboard he tried to play melodies which best touched his incus and stapes. It turned out to be the point of reference for his author's productions, as it was the melodies that he put most preassure on. The keyboard and piano lessons shaped his hearing and his musical sensitivity and enabled him to have a wider perspective on individual sounds. However, it wasn't the notation that attracted him. He liked the specific freedom in playing, the improvisations, and that is why electric music intrigued him with its production and its technique. For a couple of years absorbed with getting to know its world, its secrects he started to creat his own sounds. And that is how, thanks to his own determination, in 2013 he released his first EP entitled "Weltschmerz". Surrounded with nature he is inspired by it and it is nature that partly shaped his sound image - always emotional, always putting his heart and soul into it. While listening to music from a very wide spectrum Wojtek tries in a sensible way to smuggle some of the concepts into his own pieces. The next stop in his musical journey turned out to be the EP for Soundbar Records entitled "Escapism", which emerged from his fascination for the Future Garage broken percussion with the mellow tone of ambient music.
