The filthy fling between country, jazz and soul has paid off for Billie McCarthy, who is now one of Sydney's most popular singers and workshop personalities. She has worked together with many international and local acts including Paul Mac, Lanie Lane, Ngaiire, Tuka, UK soul sensation Omar and hip hop legend Charli 2na (of Jurassic 5), while American singer Jill Scott raved that she loved what Billie does, after catching one of Billie's performances while on tour in late 2013. The accolades just keep coming for Billie McCarthy, with her collaboration with Australian hip hop group Thundamentals, on 'Smiles Don't Lie' , scoring her a #32 spot on the elite Triple J Hottest 100. Late last year billie was instrumental in putting together the successful RAIN festival at The Basement , which saw 16 artists perform to raise money for Blue Mountains bushfire relief.
