Dark Diva is a solo project of Angelina Ratova from St. Petersburg. Her debut trip trap release came out on #LabelCantroll and is permeated by the lyrical hero's reflections on the inner search, alienation and self-reflection. Despite the simplicity of the lyrics, each one tells its own little story. About growing up, when it is necessary to move on, to open up to something new, but there is a fear of the unknown. About choosing between stagnation and comfort, about being alone in the city surrounded by people, about the impossibility of being in a constant state of detachment, and about the instability of relationships and not accepting oneself. From the author: "This album is about inner alienation and crisis, detachment from yourself and your needs. It's about the attitude to yourself and to the people around you. It's like you look at everything from the outside and you don't understand where reality is and where fiction is. For me, alienation is a characteristic that speaks of the detachment of a person from society as a whole, of deep divergences in thoughts, feelings and actions. A sense of meaninglessness and the impossibility of achieving the desired result.
