The Deeper came together in early 2009 when D. Angel met with Andy Monk and Geoff Higginson. After a couple of gigs Marc Reeves joined on guitar and vocals. Other members and friends including Vic 'The Vicar' helped out (on drums) when the band recorded some tracks at Sounding Post Studios in Giltbrook. Ich Mowatt was an inspiration as producer and engineer and shaped the sound of the album which has a wide range of influences; with nods to Deep Purple, The Clash, Sterophonics and Bob Dylan. Our latest drummer is the amazing Simon Feerick. The diverse range of songs reflect and pay tribute to the life of the band's frontman D.Angel who sadly lost his battle with cancer back in April 2011.
