In 2006 Scottie released a solo Piano/Vocal CD titled; “Livin’ Between The Black ‘n White”. Unlike his previous original recordings, this was an obvious and passionate dedication to our piano-blues forefathers; Otis Spann, Roosevelt Sykes, Amos Milburn, and more. “The Inhibitors” have just released their strongest material to date; “Elixir For The Soul”. With production and horn arrangements that far surpass their previous releases. The band exhibits strong Minneapolis to New Orleans funk flavors, reflective soulful ballads, slow blues, and R&B cuts that wander back and forth somewhere between Ray Charles, John Hiatt, and Dr. John and The Meters” “This is urban Midwestern swamp funk ‘n blues direct from the birthplace of the mighty Mississippi. The production is extraordinary for a self-produced CD. This is the Minnesota sound at its best. Commercially viable music that comes directly from the artists’ heart and nourishes your soul”. ~ John “Blueshammer” Hammer – Blue Monday Monthly
