Welsh songwriter John David wrote "You Are the New Day" and Phillip Lawson wrote this Christmas version, "Born on a New Day." John Rutter named it as his favorite new carol and recorded it with his Cambridge Singers, but it is still most strongly associated with the King's Singers.
