Chala is a collective of Maui's finest musicians. Founded by front man Benjamin Cerda in 2012, since then Chala has been touring and recording all of the Hawaiian islands, South America, and the mainland. The root of Chala's music is reggae spiced with latin, hip hop and R&B with positive lyrics. Chala is a six piece band, including Benjamin Cerda on guitar and lead vocals, Yaya Lioness on lead and back vocals, Jimmy Cui on drums, Andrew Hubbard on keyboards, Kanamon on bass, Paul Bunuan on saxophone and Hector Serrano on percussion.
