简介
These are a collection of songs I wrote as part of a healing journey. I wanted to make this album by myself which is why I wrote, performed, engineered, mixed and mastered all the tracks, this was necessary for my journey. Here is a short description of each song I wrote. Feeling Good I wrote this song about how it is nearly impossible to be happy 100% of the time and that life definitely has its ups and downs. I have found this to be even more true the older I get and have come to realise it is about surrounding yourself with supportive people and accepting the good and the bad in life. Can I See You Again This song is written about the first date with my now wife. We met at a funky spot called La La Land on Chapel St, Melbourne. We bonded over wine, pizza and a shared admiration of each others ink and the rest is history! Friends Inspired by the Bill Wither's classic "Lean on Me" this track was written for a few of my close friends who have helped and always supported my musical journey. Thanks brothers and sisters. Drift Written for my late father, Des. The man loved to fish and as part of his funeral, the family and I scattered his ashes across his favourite fishing spot. This song played in the background as his ashes drifted out to sea. RIP , I love you dad. These Walls In this song I explored the tendency for many of us to act as though we are OK when in public but once we are alone in the safety of our house / rooms, we let out the real and often powerful emotions. I looked at being OK with expressing emotion in public such as crying which, unfortunately, can sometimes be regarded as a sign of weakness, particularly for men. Katerina I have always wanted to write a "name" song. I guess I had to wait until I met my wife, Katherine (Katerina in Greek) to be able to do this. The song was used for Kat's wedding march down the aisle during our church service. I love you Kat, you are everything.
