Mike Kerr is a Brazilian born instrumental rock guitarist and composer residing in Massachusetts, USA. Influenced by heyday of guitar oriented rock of the 80s, Mike pushes the envelope as solo artist with his profound technical wizardry of the guitar molded to catchy and easily digestible songs. Mike's new CD, The Truth of the Lion, is a collection of carefully crafted songs that connect directly to the listener using a soft touch and soothing orchestral accompaniment. The Truth of the Lion is a melodic version of his 1st CD, The Fire which showcased Mike's technical prowess with a set of fast paced high energy songs. FirstBourne is a five piece arena rock/power metal band from Boston, MA, USA. Specializing in captivating hooks and masterful musicianship, guitarist Mike Kerr, vocalist Adrienne Cowan, and bassist Ven Thangaraj teamed up with Sony Brazil’s producer and guitarist Jimmy Oliveira to create their debut full length, Riot. Live drummer Chris Dovas joined shortly after, adding to the ranks of Berklee-trained and international award-winning musicians. FirstBourne members draw influences from an era of Area Oriented Rock/Metal where musicianship, appearance and good songwriting took center stage. While rock and metal today has a wide set of genres and sub-genres, FirstBourne writes music to appeal to a broad range of listeners. As such, songs are written with simple, understandable structures, singable melodies, meaningful lyrics, catchy hooks, and motivational tempos all produced by Jimmy, who produces dozens of artists for Sony yearly.
