OC alt-rockers Miracle Days return with their first set of entirely new material since 1999 (the intervening years saw the release of 'Ghost Notes: Rare & Unreleased' in 2010). This time around, the band displays a new maturity and resonance, having transitioned firmly into adulthood and fatherhood. The original lineup is intact here, sounding accomplished and tight. The songs themselves sound at once fresh and familiar. This collection, entitled 'Songs About America', explores deeply personal topics both here at home and beyond America's shores, but always through the lens of a band born and raised here in America. The band has also broadened its instrumentation palette, effectively incorporating keyboards into this release.
