简介
Just a few tracks of multi-tracked trumpets, firstly Benjamin Britten's fanfare for three spaced out (!) trumpeters, then Henry Purcell's beautiful choral anthem from the funeral of Queen Mary II in March 1695. Tracks 3 and 4 are of jolly John Dowland lute songs arranged for trumpets. "Chasing Cars" is my own version of the song by Snow Patrol, recorded on trumpet, piccolo, tenor horn and flugel. Next, following the flugel line of thinking is a quartet of them playing the music of Thomas Tallis before we finish this short selection with "La Rejouissance" from Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks, written in 1749 for George II.
