Karen Marrolli is a noted composer of American choral music. She combines a feel for folk melodies and harmonic treatments with sensitive choral writing. Marrolli also writes original texts for many of her compositions and displays her keen understanding of the matching of music and text on the titles included here. The compositions on this album were recorded by the nationally recognized choir The Singers—Minnesota Choral Artists, under the direction of Matthew Culloton.
