500 & Mr. China met each other attending high school. They were about 18 yrs old with a strong drive to try something different. Mr. China is not Chinese, "he is Filipino". Everyone said he looked Chinese so he just start saying his name was Mr. China. LOL. After school they would go record songs in 500's garage. A lot of people didn't take them serious at first because it wasn't regular to see a Asian guy rapper collabing with a African American street artist. But it was the perfect collaboration and the best of both gutters (worlds). When the CD was released they would go to Bay Area high schools and pass out demos to as many students as they could. Their buzz grew rapidly in their local area, which led to doing more shows and performances. Now they have the Bay Area on lock. What r they doing now? Now they're on tour around the U.S. I ask 500 & Mr. China what's a place u guys would want to tour next? 500 reply was "Japan" and Mr. China's was Germany & the U.K. These guys are really on the move and from the way the streets are talking they're the next big thing.
