简介
The C. Henry Woods Troupe has been known in underground international dance halls (England, Canada, and others) since 1975 with the disco hit "The Stranger". It recently re-emerged with new music including "Dance With Your Wife" (2010). The "Unidentified Sound" reunites after 30 years original members of the eclectic and experimental band Jazz Bombers, and blends a funky blues rhythm into an organic dance party. Blues fusion at its best! "Just when I was getting bored by the unending promo emails filling my fragile inbox, I decided to click onto the latest offering by that elusive dancehall band and Rahmat Shabazz label artist, The C. HENRY WOODS TROUPE. What a surprize! "THE UNIDENTIFIED SOUND" Rocks! CHWT pulls out all stops on this one to perform a tight small group blues fusion tour de force that in the undenibly funky span of 6 minutes takes the listener on a joyous ancient to the future trip. Over an earthy beat that will get anyone up to dance, Saxophonist and vocalist Charles Rahmat Woods energizes a "Hendrix-esque" rhythm section featuring blues guitarist Paul 'The Plucker" Cleague, bassist Wyndel Ficklin, and drummer Gus Johnson. Floating above the turbo powered electronics is the feathery (as in Eagle!) pronouncments of Native American flutist Bearclaw. The resulting mix occupied my attention in what I can only describe as a mini-epic fantasy film score. This is good music for all ages!" - Susie S, music critic.
