Gary Lee Murray has a distinctive singing and songwriting style that has been recognized by many throughout the music industry. Murray’s unmistakable talents have lead him many places including a recording project which also featured Country Music’s “Highway 101” and the “Desert Rose Band.” Through this endeavor Gary Lee was introduced to Cliffie Stone. Through this chance meeting Stone moved on to produce Gary Lee Murray and they even composed music together. Among many others a song called “You Have The Right To Remain Silent.” Murray’s talent to capture the heart of a song stems back to his childhood. He was born in a non-Christian home shrouded with abuse, violence and unhinged relationships. As a child and even more throughout his teen years, Murray was alienated by both his mother and his father, mainly due to their own personal addictions and self-destructive natures. At the age of 16 Gary found himself walking teary-eyed down the isle of an old church where he gave his heart to Jesus, in they were singing as I made my way to the alter” Murray remembers, as he sings a portion of Mylon Le Fevre’s “Without Him.” This song is so special to him he includes it in nearly every concert and it was also added to his “Just A Matter of Living” CD. Not knowing what God had in store for him, he began to develop a natural ability to write songs. His skill is so uniquely developed, songs flow from his pen as quick and easy as words from his lips.
