"Summer's Winter Day" is a collection of pop songs each given an arrangement all its own yet bound together with consistent catchiness and a distinctive indie feel. Lyrical themes on Valentine's second solo album range from social commentary to troubled love to self-deprecating introspection. This is a foray into new musical arrangements, instruments and styles while staying true to Valentine's love of finely honed melody.
