Dear Listeners: This recording is the result of a brainstorming session between Jeff Barnett and Carol Barnett Nesbitt on how they could create something of beauty to honor their beloved brother, Greg, who lost his battle with addiction in 2014. Greg loved music, and Christmas music best of all. The musicians dedicate this recording to him. Greg’s addiction sometimes led to homelessness. His situation was far from unique; whether through poverty, substance abuse, mental illness or other causes, an estimated 600,000 Americans are left with nowhere to sleep each night. As you listen to this music, we ask that you take a moment to consider the plight of those who quite literally have no home for the holidays.
