The 1950s in Germany was the time of the so-called economic miracle, in which German cinema also experienced a new heyday. The elaborately produced music films with a large star cast were particularly popular but also melodramas and war films were particularly popular. This edition of our "Wirtschaftswunder Kino" collection is devoted to some of the greatest orchestral scores of composer Hans-Martin Majewski. The list of stars in these production also reads like a who's who of German cinema and radio celebrities: Horst Buchholz, Curd Jurgens, Nadja Tiller, Peter van Eyck, Brigitte Horney and many others starred in these films and Majewski's instrumental score always create a dense and captivating atmosphere.
