简介
The only son out of four children to a Southern Baptist Preacher, Kenneth Michael was born and raised in Flint, Michigan. He grew up taking piano lessons from his mother, (also the church pianist) learning old patriotic songs, show tunes, and out of date pop choruses. He soon realized he'd rather spend his time playing the blues, jazz, and creating pop melodies that have become influenced by groups such as Maroon 5, Jason Mraz, and Foster The People. Kenneth continued to perform throughout high school, developing his craft for melodic, memorable pop tunes, and afterwards went to major in music at a school in Louisville, Kentucky where he was exposed to a variety of new musicians, and scenes. After traveling the southern U.S. with a band in Louisville, he made his way back to Flint, where he jumped into a pop-reggae band and played across Michigan. After a span of 4 to 5 years and an album under their band Arcadia, he left to pursue his own style of pop music once again. With the backing of fellow Arcadia guitarist, Aaron McWilliams, and his business and musicianship experience, Kenneth Michael's debut album, "Ups & Downs Of Her" is a fun take on pop, and is his only full length studio album that will be released late, 2012.
