THE PROJECT, formerly of the group Phaze 3, began their music journey in 1996 with members Rene Ledesma, Felix Noe Garcia, and Roland Cuellar. Phaze 3 was Houston, Texas' first Latin male Pop/R&B/Freestyle group of its kind with hits, such as "Hold Me", "Forever", and "Veronica". After several years together and reaching notoriety, the group parted ways in the Spring of 2003. Childhood friends, Rene Ledesma and Felix Noe Garcia continued their music careers by collaborating with various artists in music and video production after departing ways with their former Phaze 3 member Roland Cuellar. Using his background in music editing and production, Felix Noe Garcia entered a career in the field of acting and movie editing. Felix Noe Garcia appeared and completed video editing in movies, such as "Through the Valley" starring Danny Trejo and Noel G., which is a film directed by Juan Vazquez (Tripilleye Films/Entertainment). Felix also appeared in other small cameo appearances on the movie screen and collaborated with local music artists and actors. Never losing his passion to create great music, producer/singer/songwriter, Rene Ledesma, through the years, has produced many works of music composition and has appeared on various artist's songs and CD compilations as a vocalist. After completing his Master of Science in Strategic Leadership, Rene Ledesma began to compile a list of songs to release as a solo artist and project album, all of which has received much attention and anticipation. In 2011, Rene Ledesma and Felix Noe Garcia reunited to form a duo singing group, “The Project”, using the name for which Rene Ledesma would title his junior album. What separates “The Project” from the rest of the music groups is their overall sound of which they have complete creative control; thus, writing/producing/recording and editing their own style of music. Their brand of upbeat sounds are gracefully tempered with hi and mid-tempo rythyms using various dance, r&b, and jazzy technique-sounds. "The Project" anticipates the release of their new singles entitled, " Your the Only One", " I Should of Said", and "I Wanna Know".
