Featuring Killer Mike, D Focis, Ekundayo, Allenthehuman and Okori Johnson, "Emmett Still: A Short Film & EP by Fahamu Pecou", is the story of a young black man named God, who, like many Black male youth, lives under constant threat of death and violence. It is a world where a random encounter with police can quickly turn into a life or death situation.  Ultimately, God discovers strength in the power and beauty of his ancestors. It is a strength that affirms life and legacy. The film's title and music references the brutal 1955 lynching of Chicago teen Emmett Till and links Till's death to the ongoing violence of Black male youth today. This album is dedicated to the many men, women and families whose lives are forever impacted by the violent disruption of systemic racism, prejudice and extra-legal police activity.
