For better or worse - this is a record I have been trying to make for most of my life. There aren't any frills - just me. Sometimes a guy just has to take stock of his own capabilities. I needed to see what I had in there of my own - what my own voice and inclinations sound like. I'm proud of these songs , and I think I'm proud of this record:-) I procrastinated as hard as I could and cussed myself blue, until I finally gave up and did it. I'm glad I did and I hope you are too. The songs are wrinkled pages and photos from lifetime of stories - real and imagined. They all have the bearing of Love to draw from. It's sort of the point of this whole ride anyway. These songs allow me to touch my Mother again, to kiss my now-grown children while they sleep one more time, to say "goodbyes" and "I'm sorrys" to old loves, and to wish and pray for all the burdened hearts that ache so in silence. Music has giver me not only the ability to speak for myself, but also to speak for and to, so many folks that struggle to find the words to say just how deeply they feel - good or bad. That is the realm and the responsibility of the bard. I do not take it lightly. I am moved when I see the power of this thing in the tears, the laughter, the joy , and sorrow of the people I sing to each night. My fondest hope is that one or two of these songs will catch the ear and the heart of everyone who takes the time to listen. We're all in this together, and this is my offering to the world for today. Please enjoy. It's just all about love in the end:-)
