Marta Fuchs (1898-1972) was one of the most outstanding opera heroines in the years between the two great wars. Her appearances in the great roles of Richard Strauss and Richard Wagner are considered outstanding even until today. This new album contains her recorded legacy with some new discoveries: For the first time ever we hear Marta Fuchs singing the music of Georg Friedrich Handel. Even more the great scene from the second Act of "Der fliegender Hollander" is now finally complete. Until now only the great ballad was available but now the entire scene was found.
