简介
Hear The Idiot's collection nine electrodrama pop songs on the album JUVENAL!A. These are songs about naive youth. In the guitar-heavy first single, “Freddy’s Dead,” a kept boy laments the demise of his partner, while in the pulsing dance-hall number “Democracy,” the narrator chides an ex-enfant-terrible at the end of his prime. One very short and happy song, “Delusional Donovan,” is balanced against a very long one, the 16 minute semi-instrumental “What’s Left Over After,” which passes from a tantrum, to confessions of love, to reconciliation, and then into static. The album features strong beats and intricate arrangements in songs that combine the drama of Kate Bush with the lyrical wit of Stephen Sondheim. The auteur effort features original material written, arranged, and recorded by the Idiot in home studios, and mixed and mastered by Mitch Rackin at the Seaside Lounge in Brooklyn, NY. Put in your ears.
